The team in Uganda have been working hard with the local Kasese government office to get permission to gather the street kids, at a social distance at the office. Permission granted and yesterday, 25th June, the street kids were able to meet and collect their food parcels and soap. What wonderful news.
John told us that 20 street children have been reunited with their families. We pray this situation remains after lock-down. There has been some easing of measures in Kasese, namely transport, but under strict regulations and markets are not yet open.
